[Washington, D.C.] — March 24th, 2026 — Today Symphony Space, a U.S.-based aerospace pioneer, announced its official debut and the launch of the Adagio Platform, the world’s first modular, multi-mission orbital infrastructure. Designed to eliminate the primary bottleneck of the modern space age, Adagio provides on-demand hosting for payloads, ushering in an infrastructure revolution for the burgeoning Space-as-a-service economy.

While the industry has successfully slashed launch costs by over 90%, the cost of operating in space remains prohibitively high. Most missions still require bespoke spacecraft, 3-to-5-year development timelines, and tens of millions in capital. The Adagio Platform shatters this paradigm by offering a shared, reusable environment that is 4x more affordable compared to existing payload solutions building a single-use satellite.

The Infrastructure for a New Era

Adagio handles the "heavy lifting" of space operations—power, communications, thermal management, precision pointing, and robotics—allowing customers to focus solely on their mission-critical hardware.

"The bottleneck is no longer getting to orbit; the speed and readiness to orbital operations once you arrive," said Merry Walker, CEO & Co-founder of Symphony Space. "We are really excited to be working with a wide range of tech leaders across industries. Beginning with Adagio, we aren't just launching hardware; we are deploying the start of a network of persistent, modular platforms. Our customers don't need to build a bus; they simply provision capacity on demand. We welcome and look forward to engaging with organizations, companies, and researchers. If you’re interested in flying, please reach out."

Modular. Reconfigurable. Universal.

The Adagio Platform distinguishes itself through a suite of groundbreaking features:

  • Universal Compatibility: Designed to fit all major global launch vehicles, ensuring seamless access to orbit.

  • Modular Reconfigurability: Precision robotics allow for payloads to be swapped and upgraded across mission cycles, extending the life of the asset and maximizing ROI.

  • Lab-as-a-Service: Capability to customize conditions for research in microgravity including in pharmaceutical and biotech applications.

  • Advanced Defense & ISR: Built for dual-use applications, offering secure communications via distributed ledger technology (DLT).

Driving the Orbital Economy

Symphony Space values working with partners around the globe. With a mission-agnostic approach, Symphony is here to service the international space economy, from academic institutions to governments and international tech drivers. With a nearly fully booked demo mission and prospective partners for its full scale mission in early 2028, Symphony Space is not just a participant in the space economy—it is the platform upon which the future of that economy will be built.

About Symphony Space

Symphony Space is a U.S.-based aerospace startup dedicated to building the foundational infrastructure of the orbital economy. By providing reusable, modular platforms that handle the complexities of space operations, Symphony Space enables commercial, academic, and defense sectors to deploy technology faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.

Symphony Space is unlocking space for all by providing a subscription-based "Space-as-a-Service" model that eliminates the need for costly hardware ownership. Symphony offers simplified, mission-agnostic platforms, allowing both tech and non-tech innovators to launch their missions as easily as deploying a cloud server. By leveraging blockchain-backed data integrity, Symphony ensures absolute non-interference for every hosted payload, delivering a secure and seamless orbital experience. Symphony is currently fundraising in the pre-seed round for development and support of our first launch.
